If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Licenciado Benito Juarez International Airport, Querétaro Intercontinental Airport and Santa Lucía Air Force Base / Felipe Angeles International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 75°F in March, and nighttime lows around 51°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Wed) so you can catch the flight to Tulum.

Tulum — 2 nights

The only Mayan site built to overlook the ocean, Tulum remains a coastal paradise preserving the last vestiges of a pre-Hispanic civilization.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Thu): delve into the distant past at Cobá Zona Arqueológica Cobá and then delve into the distant past at Tulum Archaeological Site. Keep things going the next day: view the masterpieces at Art Gallery Miniature and then enjoy the sand and surf at Paradise Beach.

You can fly from Mexico City to Tulum in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Mexico City in March, things will get a bit warmer in Tulum: highs are around 81°F and lows about 66°F. On the 16th (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Isla Mujeres.

Tiny municipal seat of an eponymous island, each season Isla Mujeres swells to bursting with international tourists coming here to swim, snorkel, dive, fish, and sail.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Sat): don't miss a visit to Playa El Centro. On your second day here, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Norte, then look for gifts at Jewelry Store, and then delve into the distant past at Punta Sur.
