Mexico City — 6 nights

Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.
Your list of things to see and do now includes Museo de Arte Popular, Mercado de Coyoacan, Arena Mexico, and other attractions. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Mercado De Artesanias La Ciudadela and Polanco. Popular historic sites such as Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 and Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe are in your itinerary. Step out of Mexico City to go to San Juan Teotihuacan and see Volar EN Globo, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Museo Frida Kahlo, take an in-depth tour of Museo del Templo Mayor, get a sense of history and politics at National Palace, and get to know the fascinating history of Zocalo.

To see maps and other tourist information, refer to the Mexico City road trip planning site.
