As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.
Step out of Minsk with an excursion to Dudutki Museum Complex in Ptich--about 48 minutes away. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Museum Strana Mini, contemplate the long history of Trinity Hill, make a trip to Victory Square, and pause for some photo ops at Island of Tears.

Moscow, Russia to Minsk is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. January in Minsk sees daily highs of -4°C and lows of -10°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Mon) so you can go by car to Mir.

The capital city of the region of the same name, Grodno (also called Hrodna) was built around the river flowing through it, and is known as a hub for the arts celebrating both modern and classical culture with three major theaters, a philharmonic society, and a multitude of museums.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Thu): take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Jesuit Catholic Church, delve into the distant past at The Old Castle, then admire the landmark architecture of Kalozha Church Boris-Gleb Church, then see the interesting displays at The Watchtower of the fire department and a Fire Museum, and finally make a trip to Great Choral Synagogue.
