Do your shopping at Arto Otra and Yawi Arte Tradicional. Get a sense of the local culture at Museo Nacional de Antropologia and Palacio de Bellas Artes. Step out of Mexico City with an excursion to Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 in San Juan Teotihuacan--about 1h 20 min away. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, take in the spiritual surroundings of Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de Mexico, wander the streets of Coyoacan, and make a trip to Museo Frida Kahlo.
