Mexico City — 5 nights

City of Palaces

Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.
Step off the beaten path and head to Murales de Diego Rivera en la Secretaria de Educacion Publica and San Angel. Monumento y Museo de la Revolucion and Ciudad Universitaria are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore Mexico City's surroundings by going to Piedra Herrada Sanctuary (in Valle de Bravo), Archaeological Zone of Xochicalco (in Cuernavaca) and Tepozteco (in Tepoztlan). There's much more to do: admire the masterpieces at Museo de Arte Popular, make a trip to Polanco, take a stroll through Zona Rosa, and contemplate the long history of Zona Arqueologica Tlatelolco.
