Mexico City — 5 nights

City of Palaces

Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.
You'll explore and learn at Museo Nacional de Antropologia and Museo del Tiempo Tlalpan. Get some cultural insight at Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 and Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe. Venture out of the city with trips to Cuernavaca (Archaeological Zone of Xochicalco & Robert Brady Museum). There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Palacio de Bellas Artes, ponder the world of politics at National Palace, steep yourself in history at Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de Mexico, and make a trip to Paseo de la Reforma.

For reviews, other places to visit, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Mexico City online attractions planner.

If you are flying in from Dominican Republic, the closest major aiports are Licenciado Benito Juarez International Airport, Querétaro Intercontinental Airport and Santa Lucía Air Force Base / Felipe Angeles International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 28°C in August, and nighttime lows around 16°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
