Mexico City — 4 nights

City of Palaces

Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.
Appreciate the collections at Museo Nacional de Antropologia and Palacio de Bellas Artes. Museo Frida Kahlo and Historic Center (Centro Historico) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with a short trip to Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 in San Juan Teotihuacan (about 1h 15 min away). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Coyoacan, appreciate the extensive heritage of Zocalo, indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour, and contemplate the long history of Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe.

If you are flying in from Peru, the closest major aiports are Licenciado Benito Juarez International Airport, Querétaro Intercontinental Airport and Santa Lucía Air Force Base / Felipe Angeles International Airport. In March, daytime highs in Mexico City are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
