Kaunas — 3 nights

Situated between the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas is known for its old town, which, though smaller than the capital's, is in much better condition.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ninth Fort and Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul. Kids will appreciate attractions like Museum of History of Lithuanian Medicine and Pharmacy and St. Gertrude's Church (Gertrudos baznycia). There's lots more to do: learn about all things military at Atomic KGB Bunker, examine the collection at National M. K. Ciurlionis Art Museum, buy something for everyone on your list at Akropolis, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Kaunas Christ's Resurrection Basilica.
