Rome, Italy — 29 nights

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Explore Rome's surroundings by going to Giardino di Ninfa (in Cisterna di Latina), Tivoli (Villa Adriana, Villa d'Este, &more) and Lido dei Cigni Stabilimento Balneare (in Anguillara Sabazia). Dedicate the 22nd (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, explore the ancient world of Colosseum, explore the world behind art at Vatican Museums, and take a stroll through Trastevere.

For reviews, other places to visit, maps, and tourist information, you can read our Rome trip itinerary maker site.
