Green Elephant Sanctuary Park, Choeng Thale

What an amazing experience! So beautiful to see the elephants not forced to engage with us, made the experience that much better. From feeding them to giving them a mud bath it was awesome. My best moment by far was when giving Nadia a scratch on her cheek she cuddled in as if to say “that’s the spot!”. The stories of what these elephants have been rescued from and the life they have now is uplifting. Don’t go and ride an elephant or support elephant camps that do, go to an ethical sanctuary like this one. Fabulous photos taken for you and included in the price as is transfers and lunch. You won’t be disappointed.

Simply amazing place. The cause is great by saving abused elephants. There is no riding, and each elephant chooses to stay in the jungle or meet people depending on their mood of the day. The guide, elephant life partners and photographers are all very kind. 2500 baht / person includes the transport to and from your hotel, squeaky clean toilets/shower rooms, feeding and mud bath with elephants, detailed life story of each elephant, great photographs (free download later) and lastly amazing Thai food. Definitely worth a visit.
