Pay a short visit to Museo Mural Diego Rivera, a small gallery built to house Diego Rivera's iconic 1947 mural, "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Central." The work survived the earthquake in Hotel del Prado, and was subsequently transported to the museum. Admire the massive artwork and identify the many notable Mexicans it portrays, including Porfirio Diaz, Benito Juarez, Hernan Cortes, and Rivera's own wife, Frida Kahlo. Besides the mural, the museum also hosts temporary exhibits by local artists. • Although there are two floors and various exhibits, there really is only one thing to see, and that’s a Diego Rivera mural that was rescued from a hotel that had collapsed during the 1985 earthquake.....  more

  • I do not recommend this museum. It has only one piece of mural of Diego Rivera. On the second floor there are copies of ramdom famous art pieces around the world. I had never seen a museum with a bunch of printed paintings. It is basically a fraud. They should not charge for the museum.
  • Amazing mural. Totally worth the visit! It’s free on sundays and it wasn’t too busy at 11:00. The mural was super detailed, very beautifully painted and there was an explanation of all the characters on the painting as well.
