See an unusual geological formation at Prismas Basalticos, a set of tall basalt columns through which a stream of water runs. Located in a scenic ravine, the cluster of thin, matchstick-like columns owes its striking form to the slow cooling of volcanic lava. First championed by German explorer and intellectual Alexander von Humboldt, the natural attraction today benefits from the addition of stairs, walkways, and bridges, making it easy to get up close. • Entrance is 100mxn per person. Not crowded but it's handy do drive in your car/taxi otherwise it's harder to get there. Nice place!
  • Beautiful place! Unfortunately there is little information about the amazing geological nature of this place. Mother nature is amazing. The river has dried out, but the waterfall is still magnificent. It has amazing views and the water dam next to it is definitely worth it. There are plenty activities around and places to eat as well.
