Spanish Language Institute - Day Course, Cuernavaca

I went to this school over 12 years ago when I was in undergrad. And I still think about the positive experiences I had there. Prior to attending this school, I had taken 7 years of Spanish class in the U.S. education system. And my time here was the very first time Spanish actually clicked for me as a language. This was the first place where I could confidently put a sentence together in a conversation. The teachers are amazing and very dedicated to their work. My host family was extraordinarily kind and provided amazing conversations, food, and accommodations. I even made friends in the city of Cuernavaca who I still talk to every once in a while. (However, most people in the program just stuck to socializing with other people in the program.) I'm seriously considering coming back here as an adult to freshen up my Spanish. And I honestly think this is the best place to do it.

My 13 year old son and I attended ASLI for 2 weeks this summer. I cannot say enough good things. The staff was fantastic, they customized the week to our wants (mix of language classes (0-2 other students), excursions, cooking, crocheting, dancing). We lived with a Mexican family a few blocks from school and with it being full immersion we learned so much more in our time there. We want to go back!
