Hike, jog, and cycle at Marjan Park, a favorite weekend destination and the city's recreation center. From here you can take in views of the entire city, the surrounding islands, and the nearby mountains. Dense Mediterranean pine forest covers the 178 m (584 ft) tall hill. The area features jogging trails, tennis courts, a botanical garden, a zoo, lookout points, and a water pipeline with drinkable water. When you need a break from all the activity, enjoy a drink at the cafe with a view of the sea. Cars are not allowed in the park. • 5 of us visited the park twice during our 3 days in Split. There are great views of the city and the sea. You can walk, hike , run, bike or swim.

  • Beautiful walk but wow . . . Those are some STEPS. Luckily there are some platforms and benches to rest at. The view of downtown old Split is lovely. You can see the harbor with the ferries coming...

  • Absolutely stunningly beautiful views abound. It is just such a wonderful place to spend some time walking around and resting taking in the various views around the park. There are so many vistas to experience. If we return to Split, this will be our number one thing to see again.
  • a huge park where you can see churches, many viewing platforms and other sights that I have not visited;) the terrain is quite difficult in places, you should have suitable shoes. We parked our car near the beach, in August it can be a tricky part. The views of the sea and Split are beautiful, so I advise you to visit.
