  • Guide from Ocotea tours was extremely knowledgeable. Took medium difficulty route. Was about a 5-mile hike. Out of shape cancer patient still enjoyed it. Young kids might get bored but our group...

  • You can absolutely adventure out here on your own. Guides are great but not necessary during the day time. There is not a lot of wildlife activity during the day and the paths are well marked and well maintained. If however you want to see wildlife, go at might...and a guide may be able to point out some snakes or bugs you may not know where to look
  • This is an absolute dream destination! We saw so many species of birds and a few mammals, too! The guides were friendly and the trails were so well kept! We highly recommend trying to take the bus up to the reserve because it is so inexpensive and travels from downtown Santa Elena. We loved our stay and appreciate the time and effort given to this place!
