  • Visited with friends. Shows Belarusian history through the ages. Mock ups of traditional dress wear, typical farming scenes, to modern times with mock ups of shops and traditional upper class...

  • I highly recommend visiting this museum! But, be careful, because the museum has a specific work schedule. The museum is divided into two floors, on the first the peasantry, on the second ... hmm ... it is difficult to remember, in my impressions it is dedicated to a more affluent class - the military in the imperialist uniform and unsuccessful remarks on European painting and furniture. In 30 years without the Soviet occupation it was possible to make this museum interesting for visitors, the land of Mogilev region is rich in history and people. On the second floor I was very upset to see paintings with European landscapes, the military, some religious elements, the feeling that the richer layer was torn off and lived somewhere on another planet, I don’t think so. As this is a museum of ethnography, I would like to see cultural figures who were engaged in ethnography of the Mogilev region, a list of their works. I would like to see the interaction of the rich and the peasants, I would like to see photos of the old architecture of Mogilev region. I would like ordinary people to have an opportunity to take an interest in the history of their native land and create a small stand with links to ethnographic societies, books, websites! It does not matter that the museum is dedicated to residents who lived a hundred years ago, the history and culture of our region is very rich and the museum needs to give visitors the opportunity to contribute to this niche! Each village had its own clothes, its own songs, its own rites, its own lamentations, its own speech! It needs to be collected and stored, it’s a great legacy! And I saw an abandoned museum with green mold, nothing is happening here in the 50s. The photos on the ground floor are not all from the Mogilev region, I think it's a bad work of the museum, national costumes are not signed, who's where, but just mannequins dressed as if without understanding. " most of all. " Craftswomen work on the ground floor, come to them, please, they are very cute and engaged in folk art, they are just witches of their craft and even take orders! In any case, the museum is worth a visit, because there is a rich collection of folk clothing! And also, how these people (peasants) made a life cycle for themselves, doing absolutely everything with their own hands - up to food, to construction and clothing! Really hardworking and bright people, it was a huge impression for me and I will be happy to wear more embroidery
  • I liked it very much! You find yourself in the atmosphere of that time. The furniture is especially striking in its beauty! You can order a guide for 10 rubles.
