Angangueo is a town and municipality located in far eastern Michoacán state in central Mexico noted for its history of mining and its location in the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. Kick off your visit on the 1st (Mon): tour the pleasant surroundings at Sierra Chincua Butterfly Sanctuary, look and learn at El Rosario Monarch Butterfly Preserve, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at La Reserva de la Biosfera Mariposa Monarca.
