Mexico City

City of Palaces

Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.
Let the collections at Museo Nacional de Antropologia and Palacio de Bellas Artes capture your imagination. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 and Zocalo. Get out of town with these interesting Mexico City side-trips: Atlixco (Rebooting Park Trampoline Zone & Iglesia y Hospital de San Juan de Dios), Parque De Los Ciervos (in Atizapan de Zaragoza) and San Juan Teotihuacan (Piramide de la Serpiente Emplumada, Palacio de Tepantitla, &more). Spend the 2nd (Thu) exploring nature at Cumbres Del Ajusco National Park. Spend the 21st (Tue) exploring nature at Museo de Sitio Cempoala. There's much more to do: take a peaceful walk through Bosque de Chapultepec, steep yourself in history at Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana), explore the ancient world of Museo del Templo Mayor, and head outdoors with Santuario de las Luciernagas.

If you are flying in from Guatemala, the closest major aiports are Licenciado Benito Juarez International Airport, Querétaro Intercontinental Airport and General Francisco J. Mujica International Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
