City of Palaces
Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.Step off the beaten path and head to Murales de Diego Rivera en la Secretaria de Educacion Publica and Piedra Herrada Sanctuary. Monumento y Museo de la Revolucion and Ciudad Universitaria are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore Mexico City's surroundings by going to Tepozteco (in Tepoztlan) and Archaeological Zone of Xochicalco (in Cuernavaca). There's much more to do: take a stroll through San Angel, visit La Condesa, contemplate the long history of House of Tiles (Casa de los Azulejos), and don't miss a visit to Zona Rosa.
