City of Palaces

Breathtakingly large, Mexico City provides a home for almost 9 million people living in nearly 1,700 distinct neighborhoods.
Appreciate the collections at Museo Nacional de Antropologia and Museo del Templo Mayor. Museo Frida Kahlo and Historic Center (Centro Historico) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with a short trip to Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 in San Juan Teotihuacan (about 1h 15 min away). There's much more to do: explore the world behind art at Palacio de Bellas Artes, take a peaceful walk through Bosque de Chapultepec, explore the ancient world of Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana), and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe.

If you are flying in from Peru, the closest major aiports are Licenciado Benito Juarez International Airport, Querétaro Intercontinental Airport and Santa Lucía Air Force Base / Felipe Angeles International Airport. In March, daytime highs in Mexico City are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
