Together with the adjecent town of Ixtapa, coastal Zihuatanejo remains one of southwestern Mexico's major tourist destinations.

Probably one of Mexico's best-known beach resorts, Acapulco came into prominence in the mid-20th century, when it became a getaway for Hollywood movie starts and European millionaires.
Step off the beaten path and head to Fuerte De San Diego and Palma Sola. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Playa Tlacopanocha and Hornos Beach. There's lots more to do: stroll through Playa Caletilla, contemplate the waterfront views at Costera, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at La Catedral, and take a tour of Yate Bonanza.

Manzanillo is a city, seat of Manzanillo Municipality, in the Mexican state of Colima. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Melaque and Playa La Audiencia. Get outdoors at Cuastecomates Beach and Tenacatita Beach. When in Manzanillo, make a side trip to see Cocodrilario La Manzanilla in La Manzanilla, approximately 1h 20 min away.
