Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Mon): take a stroll through Miraflores, steep yourself in history at Huaca Pucllana, thenponder the design of Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), and finally get engrossed in the history at Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 5th (Tue): admire the landmark architecture of Palacio de Torre Tagle, get engrossed in the history at Museo Larco, thenget a taste of the local shopping with Shopping Center Larcomar (Centro Comercial Larcomar), and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Circuito Magico Del Agua.
