Family-friendly places like Museo Nacional de Antropologia and Museo Frida Kahlo will thrill your kids. When in Mexico City, make a side trip to see Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacan Estacionamiento Puerta 5 in San Juan Teotihuacan, approximately San Juan Teotihuacan away. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Palacio de Bellas Artes, walk around Bosque de Chapultepec, get engrossed in the history at Museo del Templo Mayor, and step into the grandiose world of Chapultepec Castle.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Licenciado Benito Juarez International Airport, Querétaro Intercontinental Airport and Santa Lucía Air Force Base / Felipe Angeles International Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 76°F, and evening lows to 57°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sat) to allow enough time to fly to Oaxaca.

Oaxaca

Capital city of the eponymous state, Oaxaca relies heavily on its colonial charm, its core a maze of tree-shaded alleys flanked by photogenic mansions, government buildings, and old churches.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman and Zona Arqueologica de Monte Alban. Next up on the itinerary: trek along Coyote Aventuras, take in nature's colorful creations at Jardin Etnobotanico, admire the landmark architecture of Basilica de Nuestra Senora de la Soledad, and make a trip to Tule Tree.

A short flight from Mexico City, scenic Huatulco features nine picture-perfect bays on the Pacific coast.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Buceo Scuba Huatulco and Bahia San Agustin. Take a break from Huatulco with a short trip to Punta Cometa in Mazunte, about 1h 15 min away. There's much more to do: identify plant and animal life at Fishing With Tico Huatulco, catch some excitement at Maica Silver & Contemporary Bijoux, kick back and relax at Playa La Entrega, and explore the activities along Santa Cruz Bay.
