More than 20 million people call Cairo their home and, as soon as you set foot in the sprawling metropolis, it's evident they make it crowded and chaotic, but also exuberant and charming.
Get out of town with these interesting Cairo side-trips: Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids (in Saqqara) and Giza (Pyramids of Giza, Great Sphinx, &more). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, shop like a local with Khan Al-Khalili, pick up a one of a kind souvenir at Bashayer, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosque of Sultan Al-Ashraf Barsbay.
