Cape Point, Table Mountain National Park

4.7
Take a tour of Cape Point, a dramatic seaside promontory and part of Table Mountain National Park, known for its scenic landscape and hiking trails. The narrow coastline, discovered in 1488 by Bartholomeu Dias, became famous as the birthplace of the "Flying Dutchman" legend. A bird-watching paradise, the area shelters more than 200 species, including the African penguin, as well as a variety of other creatures like Chacma baboon, fallow deer, whales, and the elusive Cape mountain zebra. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Cape Town holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Cape Point and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • A must to at least chop it off. Free-running ostriches directly on the coast is already interesting to see. Oh, yes the coast: is also great. A few meters away from the tourist parking lot you can enjoy a quite nice view and take a couple of pictures (leave).

  • By bus to the wooden plaque where a group photograph was taken and then on foot to the lighthouse along a beautiful backdrop of plant animals and views. Super
