  • We went to the museum because of the MUST SEE review...and that there was NOTHING else to do before our night flight. We enjoyed seeing the various animals from Niger & the museum buildings, especiall...  more »
  • The museum pavilions are interesting. On the other hand, the "zoological park" is a real horror, it is filthy, a public dump in the open air, where the poor animals live locked in tiny, disgusting enclosures full of rubbish. The Nigerians also come to picnic in this part and leave leaving all their rubbish on the ground ... place to avoid

  • You get to be very close to the animals, which is nice. But, the animals are cared for a little differently than in the States. It would be great to see the animal's well being thought about more. It is just a little different that what I am accustomed to. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and it wasn't too crowded. There was a little market that you can purchase souvenirs from too.
  • The fossils are cool, but they are kept in the worst condition possible. This museum is also operating a small zoo, but the poor animals are not getting the treatment that they need. They should be released in the wild.
