#1 of 13 in Parks in Valladolid
When in Valladolid, you can cool off in Cenote Xkeken, a spacious limestone chamber with a natural pool. One of two cenotes in the area, Xkeken is easily accessible and filled with crystal clear, azure water. Drive or cycle from Valladolid to the vast cavern, where you can swim and snorkel in the large sinkhole. The shady cove offers a great getaway from the heat, while interesting stalactites hanging from the ceiling, sprinkled with rays of sunshine, add to the cenote's pleasant aesthetic. • The cenote is very nice, naturally. The least we liked is that to get to it you have to go through a "shopping center", too....... You have the option to take tickets for this and the Samulá a little cheaper than just one but if you want a vest it does not work for both......

  • This was a nice cenote. It is less crowded than some of the other ones closer to tourist attractions, but it is mostly covered and dark.
  • One of the best places ever, we arrived a little bit late (4 pm), I would like to spend more time there.
