Two Eyes Cenote, Tulum

#1 of 93 in Wildlife in Tulum
For a different take on the conventional diving experience, visit Two Eyes Cenote, a flooded system of caverns just north of Tulum. One of the world's most extravagant dive sites, this is also one of Mexico's biggest underwater cave systems, featuring almost 30 sinkhole entrances (cenotes, as the locals call them). The caves stretch for over 80 km (50 mi), but most divers focus on two sinkholes approximately 70 m (230 ft) in diameter, linked by a 400 m (1,300 ft) passage. There's plenty of light here and the water temperature remains a constant 25 C (77 F), which makes this spot ideal for snorkeling and learning how to scuba dive. • Amazing nature. Bats cave was creepy but an incredible experience. Mind your head in some of the tunnels as stalactites can touch the water. Anti mosquitoes while outside the water highly recommend even at day time
  • We did Snorkeling in one of the most amazing underwater caves of the world. We did with our wonderful guides from Padi tourism: GUSTAVO e ALDO. This Cenote Is one of the most stunning diving sites in the Yucatan peninsula. It is also one of the largest underwater cave systems. Be aware of the cold water! Brrr
