  • It is a magical place, a different archaeological area, huge in extension, beautiful views, one can transport to the past and walk through its corridors and squares.

  • Last year I was looking for alternatives to climb the Sierra Negra and although I did not love to know that access is already very restricted it was a pleasant surprise to discover Guadalupe Victoria on the way. This town belongs to the state of Puebla and for mountain lovers like me, it turned out to be a paradise located between the Cofre de Perote and Pico de Orizaba. When I met him immediately we adopted it as an official training center thanks to the use of many alternatives not only for mountaineers. You have from the ruins of Cantona to enjoy something cultural in the middle of a semi-desert environment, several lagoons of volcanic origin where you can walk, run or hit the kayak, as well as mountains for all levels. In no more than 30 minutes you are in Guadalupe Sarabia where Cerro Pizarro is located, there are also Las Derrumbadas and of course you are very close to the Cofre de Perote and Pico de Orizaba for more advanced levels. If you like the bike (I am not very knowledgeable in that field) I have heard that there are very interesting trails. Anyway, it's definitely a must-know destination to practice, train or use as a starting point to climb the Perote Chest or Citlaltépetl. I share photos for the best reference... I really recommend it very much.

  • Huge archaeological zone with many ruins. It took about two hours or more to walk through and see everything. Very beautiful and well taken care of. bring a bottle of water and some sunscreen and enjoy a fantastic afternoon!
  • Extensive museum and archeological site. Very impressive and interactive as you walk amongst the ruins. You feel the influence of history. Definitely worthy of a visit if you are interested in learning something new.
