Parque Zoologico de Chapultepec, Mexico City

#2 of 6 in Zoos & Aquariums in Mexico City
Meet the inhabitants of Parque Zoologico de Chapultepec, one of the country's most visited zoos. Established in 1923, the zoo underwent significant refurbishments in 1992, and today has a collection of almost 2,000 animals representing 200 separate species. Tour the grounds, which organizes residents by bioclimatic zones rather than taxonomic groups. This choice better reflects how different species live side by side in nature, and creates a more natural experience for visitors, the animals, and scientists studying their behavior. Of particular note here is the zoo's successful giant panda breeding program. • A beautiful place, very well maintained, the animals look well maintained, there are animals from different parts of the world in environments that try to match their natural habits. Must-see for animal lovers

  • Good night, I want to leave a mjs from my point of view, the state in which the animals are found not to be appropriate. Clearly they have them for distraction it should not be so, they should give them a VIDa DIGNA and not just for tourism. They must be spacious enough to live peacefully, otherwise they can give them because there should be no zoo. They're prisoners and in a terrible state. If you can't release them, refer them where they can have them. If your motive is to help them are not doing well, it should be noted that animals are being helped and not as they are all seen without hope of continuing to live. I would ask you to consider my mjs and have a solution. I give one of the images that I consider important but there is much more that I could not continue to tour because I do not tolere see more.

  • Known as the "lungs" of Mexico City, Bosque de Chapultepec really is a vital area of the city. It's teeming with beautiful trees, plants, and....lots of young couples making out. But seriously, it's a lovely park to walk around in. It's one of the few places in the city you can actually experience some quiet!
  • Beautiful park. You would never know you were in a city of nearly 9 million. Clean. Lots of unique areas. Felt safe. Highly recommended.
