With more than 288 exhibits divided into five categories, Papalote Museo del Nino hosts an educational zone for children to touch, play, and learn. Built in 1993, the museum educates children by having them interact with the exhibits available. Through the five different categories, children learn about sciences, math, and health, and how all things relate to them. Take time to watch one of the shows or IMAX educational videos that the museum offers. You'll find various options for lunch or dinner at the in-house food court. Papalote Museo del Nino Reviews
Fuimos con mi hija de 7 años y 3 horas se nos fueron volando. La película en el domo no estuvo tan buena, pero disfrutamos el lugar haciendo papalotes y ovnis de papel. Hasta usamos la cama de clavos.... more »We went with my 7 year old daughter and 3 hours flew at us. The film on the dome wasn't so good, but we enjoyed the place making potatoes and paper UFOs. We even used the nail bed. For my taste it's a little expensive for what it offers, i still don't stop liking it
Hice mi compra por internet, solo entrada al museo porque viajamos con niños de 1 y 3 años entonces pensamos comprar las entradas a las funciones de la megapantalla y al domo digital ya estando ahí po... more »I made my purchase online, only entrance to the museum because we traveled with children of 1 and 3 years then we thought to buy tickets to the functions of the megascreen and the digital dome already being there for reasons of the children's schedules and to be able to enjoy the activities. We arrived and there is a window to pick up tickets if you bought online, then I formed there were 3 families, and I realized that they do not respect the use of this ticket office to speed up those we buy online to avoid rows, I am late as 15-20 minutes which I do not it seemed not good, because the parents were taking their daughters then everything was about to ask everyone that they wanted to do which function etc. Then what the chicha that consisted of all made me waste my time. Total they bought and was that I realized that there were 3 families a father a daughter, another for another daughter and a friend and so with each explaining everything, I was frustrated then so that they put on the page to be able to buy the tickets if in the end you have to make a line????? The WORST of everything when I tell you that I want to buy tickets for the functions told me the girl who could not sell me because they only sell for the last feature, they are not sold separately!! That made me annoy ed because in the end it was for My children and I get a complete antics when the quota wasn't even full in the features that there were. Another girl told me that only when it is filled then by logic they do not sell but there is no other reason, total that it was already screwed and we wanted to enter that already. I left it so total weight that we would meet and come back again some other time. I really didn't like it very much, there are very few activities for young children, and the areas where they can be a little bit more everything is dirty and ugly, the battered and dirty stuffed animals look sloppy the truth, and the girls from those very bigoted areas , I was bringing my one-year-old baby I took a box to play with him but he got bored and I changed the box so first I brought the other box with one hand because with the other I carried the baby, I already had everything stored in the previous box only I went for the one we would use and then I would put the other one in its place not even 10 seconds when a girl came and scolded me that I had to put things away, which I had already done and leave the boxes in place thing I was doing at that moment, then at another station my girl wanted to grab a notebook and some boxes that they decorate to take home and the angry girl scolded her that she couldn't grab until she explained how and what to do! I mean, they're kids and their motto is game play and I learn but limit and scold like that, I didn't think it was right, so I didn't let her do the activity with a person with such a rude attitude, besides that when i saw that it's like that more it took with another Child and well the better we retired. At the station of making the face in one like sticks I wanted to use it to teach my girl and anyway the boy who was there told me that I could not until he said, wait from that side told me., I do not know why he was only wearing a panel and there were 3 total I waited however I can stand... we came out of there with a sense of dissatisfaction and scolding and limited in everything we wanted. And for other kinds of activities it was for older children. They should increase activities for children under 4 years of age. I don't think we'll ever go back and recommend it.
This is a great place to visit. It’s a large well designed museum with lots of interactive displays and activities that kids of all ages will enjoy. The museum does a great job separating the spaces to ensure they are age appropriate. They cover many science disciplines. For those who don’t speak Spanish, you can still visit and enjoy. There are a limited number of English speaking staff but you will lose the ability to experience the cool science experiences.
One of the best museums for kids I have been. My son love it! The staff was very friendly and accomodating. It gets a bit crowed some times, so keep an eye on your kids!
