Trip Planner: Mexico / Central Mexico and Gulf Coast / Mexico City / Museum of Modern Art (Museo de Arte Moderno)
Visit Museum of Modern Art (Museo de Arte Moderno) to witness impressive artworks by world famous artists, such as Frida Kahlo. Opened in 1964, the museum contains roughly 3,000 paintings, sculptures, photographs, and drawings. For its time, the museum stands out as an architectural masterpiece. The building's architects created a sense of fluidity between the interior and exterior by liberally using striking materials, such as glass, white marble, raw flint, aluminum, and fiberglass in its construction. Museum of Modern Art (Museo de Arte Moderno) Reviews
フリーダ・カーロが有名でその作品には感銘したのですが、それだけでなく、展示室に置いてある小さな造形作品などにも、中南米らしさのようなものが感じられて、いろいろなものがおもしろか... more »It seems to enter from the main street side where the metro bus clears, but it entered from the entrance facing the inside of the park. I was able to keep my luggage at the entrance. The park side building is mainly a study room, and the main indoor exhibit sits in the main street building past there. Frida Kahlo was famous and impressed with his work, but not only that, but also the small pieces of art in the exhibition room, which seemed to be Latin American, and many things were interesting. It's a good idea to go around the outdoors as well as the art work surrounding the building. Unfortunately, the photo exhibition room did not go to look at the time. I don't go to other museums or museums because of time, so I can't compare them, but I think people who don't reject contemporary art can enjoy it. Unfortunately, there were few postcards of the museum shop exhibits, and there were many famous works, including those in other museums( there were art books, etc.). I wanted to take back what I saw to my memories.

Small but great pieces and well designed spaces for viewing. I would have loved to have seen more protest/political art since there is so much that is told mostly in art due to problems in journalism. Mostly either abstract or early modern.
FREE ON SUNDAYS! This Museum is located in a big, beautiful park, and there are many outdoor sculptures as well as incredible exhibitions inside. There are guided tours available during the week, and they’re closed on Mondays.
