  • Within University City is the MUAC, there are always different exhibitions, this time we saw the Ai Weiwei Expo, the entrance costs $20, it is small but has a piece that is worth a lot. You can get there by metrobus, or the place has parking. The museum shop has many interesting things.

  • THE MUAC is a reference for understanding contemporary art. On this occasion is the controversial Chinese artist AI WUEIWUEI who was imprisoned for being dissident, the exhibition combines concepts of repression that he suffered in China, bringing to Mexico the famous CASA DEL TE of his hometown and that the Chinese government wanted let time destroy it and on the other hand makes an analogy with the disappearance of the 43 students of Ayotzinapa who were played by thousands of pieces of Lego that were donated by their followers in the world. Worth the exposure and lends itself to excellent subsequent discussion in The Blue and Gold

  • One of my favorite museums of the city. Definitely worth the visit. LOVED the Jan Hendrix exhibition
  • We visited the cafe rather than the museum. Efficient service, but very expensive pastries and hot chocolate given the size. We paid our bill, but the lady gave it back telling us service wasn’t included (we had a drink and pastry, not even breakfast). First time we’ve had that happen in Mexico - if you are happy to pay for it, it’s a nice place, but overpriced for two tiny pastries.
