  • The now Museum (antiquisima academy) is a magnificent building that is located adjoining a very beautiful square or garden and is located just 2 streets walking from the emblematic monument to the Revolution. The overall entry cost is a real gift. There are 2 types of exhibitions - almost every pictorial work -, the permanent one that encompasses some pieces of different stages (Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, etc.) and the temporary ones that are mounted in a very careful way. The visit can be done in 2-3 hours without any major problem. It would be important for the Board of Trustees to consider a more forceful effort to disseminate and also to foreign visitors, who by standard develop appreciation for this type of exhibition. Some details are missing such as keeping the visitor's book in order and explanations that help contextualize the contents. On the latter, it would be worth considering including some English translation at least. Otherwise their cost-benefit ratio is magnificent.. Definitely a place to visit without fail in Mexico City.

  • Some interesting pictures but lacking any real blockbusters. I liked the portraits of Phillip II and Frederick of Saxony. There was a nice Ribero of San Sebastian. The building itself is probably as interesting as the pictures, and probably worth the entry fee. It costs 50 pesos to get in and 5 pesos to take photos.
  • Excellent museum with a variety of exhibitions. Worth paying the entrance fee.
