Pay a short visit to Museo Mural Diego Rivera, a small gallery built to house Diego Rivera's iconic 1947 mural, "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Central." The work survived the earthquake in Hotel del Prado, and was subsequently transported to the museum. Admire the massive artwork and identify the many notable Mexicans it portrays, including Porfirio Diaz, Benito Juarez, Hernan Cortes, and Rivera's own wife, Frida Kahlo. Besides the mural, the museum also hosts temporary exhibits by local artists. • The castle where the museum is located is already a work of art. A multitude of archaeological pieces on display. Also, it is possible to see the productive capacity of the artist. Excellent place to be visited.

  • It seems to be written simply, political cartoon, but how strong. Indeed, he wrote a genius. The piquancy of the museum gives and the fact that it is located in the park, depicted on the mural. You can compare nature and its slightly grotesque reflection by an artist. I still feel with deep satisfaction from communication with the masterpiece.

  • I've been to this museum twice and it's one you have to go to if you are in Mexico City for any period of time. The mural is beautiful and you could spend hours looking at it. The exhibits are also always good and expose different parts of art history.
  • It is worth to see this one and only work in that museum. 40 pesos with the right to take pictures. This mural of Diego is a good Witness of the Mexican history.
