The Museo del Caracol (lit. Snail Museum) is a Mexican history museum, at the bottom of the access ramp to the Castillo de Chapultepec in Mexico City. The “Snail Museum” is a spiral shaped building designed by the architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez. The director is Patricia Torres Aguilar Ugarte. It is opens from Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00 to 16:45.

  • When you are walking up towards the Castillo de Chapultec is easy to miss this place. It is a Mexican History Museum well designed, with a good flow, not packed.  more »

  • Everything is in Spanish :( But the maquettes are very beautiful and the building itself is very special. Its one huge spiral that's very fun to go through. The roof has many amazing cacti and a brief explanation of each species. It's a pretty cheap attraction you can definitely spend an hour or two here.
  • Great ambient, the staff is nice and the museum is explicit in some contents that are not usually talked about
