  • El Mercado de San Juan is the ultimate Mexican experience. This is an exotic place even for local standards. On the one hand this is a very good place to find good quality fruits and veggies as well as meat and sea food. On the other is bizarre place where you'll find odd things such as lion's meat. There is a couple of good tapas restaurants and a Peruvian one
  • Good food at affordable prices. Great variety of fresh produce, cheese and wine. The place is kind of run down and the surrounding area definitely needs some improvement. But the are some improvements going on already. Come here with enough cash since no cards accepted. Very close to Alameda park so you can enjoy walking after lunch.
