  • There is a hospital where I went three blocks south of Zocalo. The building was very impressive, and I thought that it was introduced to the map, but here was also as a trace place of aggression. It is a place where the remains of Cortez are buried. As is the case with many churches, it is also a place where the deep-rooted thoughts of indigenous peoples are filled.

  • If one walks on Av 20 de Noviembre and esq Republic of el Salvador, you will discover an old hospital in appearance. The place is surrounded by what shoe stores and shops that abound in clothing for women, dresses, gala evenings. If it is an old Hospital that houses a lot of stories about the time of the conquest and its construction to desire of Hernan Cortez. He says the history, and the correct story that occurred in Av Pino Suarez and esq Republic of el Salvador that Hernan Cortez was for the first time with the Emperor Moctezuma II. Such was the relationship, tran close, and so friendship greatly the construction of this hospital was due to the commemoration of that memory. This place was the first hospital in Latin America (1524), and since then many famous people have passed through here. Eventually the story of this Hospital of Jesus outside does not say much, but follows active and once that is entered is an old but clean and conserved facade hospital. Its halls include murals that they talk about the conquest. The hospital was designed by Carlos olives. In 1774, the viceroy Revillagigedo command to bury the remains of Cortez in the Church adjacent to the grounds of the Hospital, then went out and entered Mexico returning to this place. At the end, Cortez remains buried at Jesus Hospital in some secret place. Only by this story you should not miss it.

  • I was on vacation in mexico city staying at Hotel Castropol. While at the hotel, my moms blood pressure shot up......The street in front of the hotel was closed due to de Mexican presidential inauguration. No uber and no taxi....4 AM.... the bell boy told me about this clinic and we walked over there..... less than two blocks away.....we entered through the rear entrance on Pino Suarez Ave. Two big wooden doors next to a business called Leon......Thank God they didn't turn us away.....I've heard horror stories about the Mexican medical apparatus....we were treated very well.....
  • A true hidden gem. Historic, tranquil, and beautiful.
