Obligatory Stop when visiting UNAM University City in CDMX. Context: In 1977 a unique project was created that combines the ecology of the Pedregal with multiple artists (Helen Escobedo, Mathias Goeritz, Federico Silva, Manuel Felguerez, Sebastián and Hersua) with the objective of reproducing the cosmogony of Mexico in the study of the Humanities in College. Suggestions: Only open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm approximately, it is a safe place but you will need tennis to not fall between a stone path. I recommend You walk it completely and stop to observe each of the works from different points of view, you can also appreciate the vegetation, volcanic stone and some animals of the desert ecosystem. In the end you will take a surprise with the sculpture titled "Sculptural Space", unique throughout the world. "It Is a huge framed circle of 64 concrete polyhedrons, with a diameter of 120m, envelops ancient volcanic rock. It Is A dialogue between the primordial and the modern. It Emanates an absolute silence, an overflowing activity or moments of peace. Space and time are melted, there pass the four winds, the four lunar phases, the four elements and the four phases of human life. It Evokes living between the nascent, the coming and the ephemeral.View original

Must see space at the UNAM campus, there is a second garden accessed directly across the street.

Some amazing sculptures in a lovely nature reserve with some great cactus plants to see. We could see more in the distance but we couldn't figure out how to get to them.
