  • It is not in itself such an attraction, as to visit it exclusively, it is a beautiful and giant monument that you find on the tour of the Chapultepec Forest.

  • It is known as: "The Monument to the Children Heroes" and is located in the Forest of Chapultepec, Is a great marble monument with six columns with eagles crowned by Eagles with extended wings and to the center the sculptural representation of "The Fatherland" holding a Cadet (here Rest the remains of Colonel Felipe Santiago Xicoténcatl who with his battalion of San Blas participated and died in that battle). The Monument serves as Mausoléo of "The Children Heroes" (Cadets of the Military College fallen in defense of the Castle of Chapultepec in September of 1847-of which The cadet Francisco Marquez (Age when dying 12 years) and The Cadet Vicente Suárez (Age at death 14) were the Only minors--. It Is The Work of the architect Enrique Aragón Echegaray and the sculptor Ernesto Tamariz and dates back to 1952. Enjoy this beautiful monument because: LIFE... It's a TRIP!

  • The monument is surrounded by lot of trees. Also, it is not very crowded. One can sit somewhere near the monument and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
  • Famous Place at the entrance of Chapultepec Park in honor to the young men who died defending Chapultepec Hill. Is a nice place for walking/running, very relaxing and surrounded by lot of trees. From here you can go the Museum, the zoo, the botanic garden and the Chapultepec castle.
