Food, not to say, phenomenal. I recommend going on Sundays, since at 3 pm they do the unearthing of the piglet and explain why the buried meal and give it a small tasting. It also has a museum that, although small, explains very well the history of Yucatecan gastronomy.
I was with a large party and it was our first time in Mexico for most of us. The food is supposed to be authentic Mexican however I must not have the right taste buds for it. I did not enjoy my dish that was just my pallet I think. The whole group went back again several days later, it was our last day in Mexico and two people that ate the same dish became very ill and what is vomiting on that night and the next day. I was fortunate since I didn't like my dish from the first day and didn't see anything else on the menu I wanted I simply had to desserts rather than a meal. On the upside it's a beautiful restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous setting. There's a museum as well with the recreation of a small Mayan village. The restrooms are something you MUST visit, specially the lavatory. The Architectural concept of blending the restoration of the original building with the contemporary design of the new additions is great to say the least.
