  • An incredible story of immigration and the human spirit of the Korean people that went to Mexico in 1905. Such an important part of history for both countries touched by this amazing story. The story ...  more »
  • Well, although there was not the day that we went with my partner, the person who made the Guide itself by the Museum, his brother tried to do my best with us and answer our questions. Many elements of everyday life, literary and photographic value of this migration are. Yucatan is still a State that never ceases to amaze me and, in addition, work making the Museum part is trying to visualize the historical value which took its community in relation to the work with the sisal, the economic impetus this gave to the State and their inclusion to the Mexican nation by means of Yucatan. We must recognize the different communities that settled in this area and have been interspersed and resulted in varied gastronomic, cultural and social elements within a very tourist and cultural State. Although it seems to be not so visited, sincerely you must include on the visit to the city of Merida, they are not only Maya and Spanish. They are Mayan, Spanish, Korean, Arab, amish and who knows how many cultural communities more rooted to this area. The Museum although small, will help you to understand how they came, what was his impulse to come from another continent, what is dedicated and stories of how the Koreans began to interact with Mexican resulting in other interesting cultural mixes.

  • Unfortunately when I was there today, it is closed for a renovation. I am not sure how long does it takes, but it was completely empty :(
  • Great way to know the history hidden in the downtown of Mérida, so pretty and with a great tour guide
