Check one item off your bucket list with Mexico Whale Shark, offering visitors a chance to swim with the largest fish in the world. You can embark on this adventure from several locations, including Play del Carmen, Cancun, Cozumel, Tulum, and others. Despite their size, whale sharks are a docile species, so you take a close look by snorkeling right up to them without spooking them away. You can also bring your own wetsuit, if you prefer wearing one, or rent it on site from the operator. The company was solid. Picked you up at the hotel on time and then brought you to the dock without delay. Breakfast was provided and the wait to get underway was limited. Boat ride is long, but that is the same for anyone doing the trip. Swimming with the sharks is really interesting. You get up close and personal with these creatures. The captain and guide were both great. Took care of you on the boat and in the water. Many folks are uneasy with this type of activity, but they made you feel safe and secure.
Incredible experience! Captain Willy and his son Pepe were amazing. We saw hundreds of whale sharks, had delicious fresh ceviche, saw some of the most beautiful crystal clear water I have ever seen, and got to snorkel around an amazing reef. They move fast early in the day to get you out and to the whale sharks before anyone else. After everyone sees the whale sharks everything slows down a little and becomes super relaxing. Amazing hospitality. Take some motion sickness medicine before you start, it’ll save your life!
