  • Beautiful serene place to visit. Toompea Castle...what can one say that hasn't been said. So I'm not going to try, just added the following from Google/Wikipedia to save others the extra bit of searching: Toompea Castle (Estonian: Toompea loss, Latin: Castrum Danorum) is a castle on Toompea hill in the central part of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The castle, an ancient stronghold site in use since at least the 9th century, today houses the Parliament of Estonia.[1] Rather than pics of the inside, I've added more pics from below the castle looking up and around. There are usually a lot of young folk playing basketball directly below. The walking tracks below are very nice. I ride my bike around there quite a bit.
  • It is a good walk around the old city. Makes for a good one day tour. We arrived in the morning from Helsinki and left close to 4. Grab a map of the local area and have fun walking around.
