#3 of 8 in Things to do in Taba
Take a boat out to Salah El-Din Castle, a remote citadel in the middle of the Red Sea. Built by 12th-century sultan Saladin, it served for protection and observation, since most of the land can be viewed from there. Today, you can see three countries from its heights--Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Choose if you want to go there by boat, or observe it from the coast. If you decide to go, join a group tour to see the preserved rooms and facilities, including a kitchen, bathrooms, and a mosque. Put Salah El-Din Castle into our Taba online trip itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • A nice snorkeling trip during the cruise. Service on the boat , lunch and drinking mode all OK. The corals at the island were already damaged, but it was possible. At other stops during the cruise amazing underwater world. (A trip in the year 2009...je it has been a long time....)
