It was a really hot day at the Valley of the Kings. We were ferried by buggy to the area of the Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is an area where all the Pharaohs and the Kings in Egypt are buried. According to the guide, the Pharaohs were believers of the next life. Death, to them, is the bridge to the next life, which is forever and that they'd be immortal. So, no palaces or castles can be seen as those were build carelessly of stones and rocks, that turned to ashes and dust. What they concentrated in, was the life after death. The Valley of the Kings are build like a Web whereby tombs of different sizes and looks are build by the tomb experts in Egypt. The mummified bodies of the Pharaohs are kept in the tomb, with everything that they would need in the afterlife. These includes spells and mantras written on the wall of the tombs. I went into one of the tombs and surprisingly, it was cool and comfortable inside. And to this day, experts are still studying the solution to mummify the bodies. It was a great visit and much knowledge were gathered during this time.
The place is staggering, mountains are wonderful, tickets reasonable price (approximately €10) yet no credit cards are accepted. On the other hand, if you are eager for snapshots you have to prepare an additional payment for an additional ticket that allows you to make pictures (either mobile or camera) per person (approx. €15), it is important to buy this ticket because personnel at each tomb are very strict with compliance with it and some times are tough about; nevertheless it is worthwhile since tombs are really wonderful, you shall not miss it!
