Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / New South Wales / Kiama Municipality / Kiama / Kiama Blowhole
Kiama's famous Blowhole is the largest in the world! A viewing platform with disabled access gives good views of Kiama blowhole. This landmark has attracted people to the region for over 100 years, was first sighted by George Bass when he anchored his whale boat in the sheltered bay, now known as Kiama harbour, in December 1797. It is estimated that 900,000 people visit the Blowhole per year to view the spectacular plumes of water that can be seen when the seas are running from the south east. Only a short distance from the town centre and railway station, the Kiama blowhole has picnic areas and rock pool nearby. The Kiama Visitors Information Centre are located nearby and are open 9am to 5pm. Public Toilets are always open, and @Milk and Honey Cafe is located next to the Visitors Information Centre.Arrange your visit to Kiama Blowhole and discover more family-friendly attractions in Kiama using our Kiama trip itinerary planner.

The waves don’t come as often as the little blowhole, would definitely recommend checking out the little one for more thrills. Nonetheless, a nice spot for the amazing view
Calm sea for my visit. Only small blows happening. But the walkways and lookouts are well done. Plenty of room for everyone to have a good look.
